Crazy world of My Cat

I am a medical rarity!

On Friday (yesterday), I noticed that I could no longer taste things with one side of my tongue. Today, while at work, I became aware that one of my eyes felt different to the other when blinking.

I got home and asked Ben, 'When I close my eyes, does one of them not close properly?' He said yes, thats weird. I was getting really freaked out by this time.

So, I went to a doctor. Which was slightly more complicated and expensive because, it being a Saturday night, only a very few doctors were open. Nevertheless, we found one.

So, after a long wait, and a talk to the doctor, it turns out that I have Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
The doctor was a bit surprised and kindof excited about it, cause its rare and a little mysterious.

Also, I'm lucky I'm the paranoid type, cause if its not caught early, the symptoms (which include facial paralysis, loss of hearing and loss of eyesight (I don't have any of these)) can be permanent.

In fact, only 70% of people who start treatment within 3 days of the symptoms appearing recover fully.

Slightly freaked out here.

And the cat said:

"Go away, I'm watcing the window. You'll have to wait your turn."
